Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a small federal integrator in Colorado Springs, CO. You will assemble units following strict QA standards, use common hand tools, and work on mechanical/electrical subassemblies.

Daily duties include cleaning and kitting small parts, reading schematics, and collaborating with a team at a bench for most of the day. Contract runs through May 24, 2027 with potential extension; start date November 9, 2026; pay rate $30–$32 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• HS diploma or higher
• Ability to read/write/understand English
• Comfort reading engineering schematics/blueprints

We need a reliable, punctual, and well organized individual who works well in teams. They will be responsible for the assembly of units following strict quality assurance standards. They should feel comfortable working with common hand tools and be able to follow assembly directions. They will be a part of a team that constructs, maintains, and tests electrical / mechanical systems, components and equipment. Daily tasks will entail cleaning/kitting small parts, working with common hand tools to assemble mechanical/electrical subassemblies, and sitting at a work bench the majority of the day.
