Job summary

Turn-Key Solutions is seeking a dependable Assembly Technician to join our growing automation team. You will assemble custom automation equipment, read mechanical drawings, and work with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices to bring projects to a functioning machine.

In a fast-paced, team‑oriented manufacturing environment, you’ll support field installations and startup activities, troubleshoot issues, and continually improve assembly methods with engineers.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience assembling industrial equipment or automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and BOMs.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting fit-up and alignment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to travel for installations and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Align and fit components to ensure proper operation.

Turn-Key Solutions is a growing automation company that designs and builds custom robotic systems, machine tending cells, assembly stations, welding systems, material‑handling equipment, CNC fixturing, and production workholding solutions. We are looking for a dependable, hands‑on Assembly Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building equipment, solving problems, working with tools, and seeing a project come together from loose components into a fully functioning machine.

Our Assembly Technicians work closely with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, controls engineers, welders, machinists, and project managers to build custom automation equipment for customers across a wide range of industries. No two projects are exactly alike, which keeps the work interesting and provides plenty of opportunities to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom automation equipment, robotic cells, fixtures, conveyors, welding systems, and material‑handling systems from mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials.
• Install structural components, guarding, machine frames, pneumatics, actuators, sensors, tooling, conveyors, and customer‑specific equipment.
• Fit, align, adjust, and modify components as needed to ensure proper operation and quality.
• Work with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, lifts, forklifts, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with machine debug, testing, runoff, Factory Acceptance Testing, and customer installations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues during assembly and machine startup.
• Work closely with engineering to identify drawing discrepancies, improve assembly methods, and provide practical feedback on equipment design.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support occasional field installation, service, and startup work at customer locations.
• Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, quality, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience assembling industrial equipment, custom machinery, automation systems, fixtures, conveyors, or similar products.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, pneumatic schematics, and bills of materials.
• Experience using common hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and shop equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot fit‑up, alignment, and functionality issues.
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, project‑based manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely lift, position, and assemble components using appropriate material‑handling equipment.
• Willingness to occasionally travel for installations, service, and customer support.

Preferred Skills

• Experience assembling robotic automation cells, machine tending systems, welding equipment, or custom OEM machinery.
• Familiarity with pneumatic systems, linear slides, servo actuators, conveyors, sensors, and machine guarding.
• Experience with welding fixtures, precision assembly, machine alignment, or customer‑specific tooling.
• Forklift, crane, scissor‑lift, or aerial‑lift experience.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working from SolidWorks drawings or 3D assembly models.
