Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services, Inc. seeks a compassionate Behavioral Specialist I to join the Adult Community Clinical Service team. This role provides interventions for adults with severe mental illness, supporting recovery within residential or community settings and a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include problem-solving, assessments, and helping clients access transportation and daily activities. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and experience with adults with mental illness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions focusing on problem solving, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement.
• Assist the team in providing on-going assessments of client symptoms and their responses to staff interventions.
• Support clients in their recovery goals and rehabilitation planning.
• Ensure services are culturally competent, strengths-based and rehabilitation-focused.
• Assist clients with transportation to work sites, activities, and appointments.
