Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a senior leader to own Ads revenue accounting from assessment through execution. You will govern products, pricing, contracts, incentives, credits, and international expansion, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and scalable processes.

The role requires deep ASC 606 expertise and strong business partnership to implement 0-to-1 processes in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting with ASC 606 judgments.
Demonstrated leadership to independently set direction and influence senior stakeholders.
Experience with digital advertising/adtech or high-volume transaction environments.
Strong knowledge of variable consideration, principal-versus-agent, and revenue presentation.
Experience building durable 0-to-1 processes in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

Lead technical accounting assessments for Ads products and commercial arrangements, including performance obligations and revenue presentation.
Own and evolve Ads revenue accounting policies as products and pricing change.
Establish governance for new products and accounting decisions, including escalation and launch approvals.
Translate accounting conclusions into requirements for product design, billing, data, and controls.
Own cadence for incentive and makegood accounting, accruals, settlements, and reconciliations.
Partner with cross-functional teams on launches, negotiations, and international expansion.
Prepare audit-ready memos and align conclusions with external auditors.
Use data, AI, and automation to improve finance workflows.
