Job summary

Reddit is seeking an experienced Ads Policy Lead to drive research and development of large-scale advertising policies across Reddit’s platform. The role partners with Legal, Sales, Operations, Product, and Trust & Safety Policy to address cutting-edge challenges and enable responsible business opportunities.

The candidate will own policy drafting, risk assessments, and executive-facing recommendations while upholding Reddit values and providing senior guidance to peers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in compliance, standards, or policy development and implementation.
• Deep subject matter expertise in advertising or content policy on an international scale.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, translating policy into business terms.
• Ability to synthesize complex problems into structured decision documents.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the development and maintenance of strategic advertising policies across US and international markets.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams as a senior policy consultant to embed guardrails during early-stage product development.
• Draft risk assessments and strategic policy recommendations for senior cross-functional leaders and executives.
• Act as a role model of Reddit’s Company Values and guide teammates as a senior peer leader.
• Serve as the decision-maker on highly complex ads policy escalations with risk-balanced rulings.
