Job summary

South Alabama Regional Planning Commission is seeking an ADRC Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for ADRC services. You will route calls, collect intake data, and help clients access SHIP/Medicare benefits while ensuring timely reporting and coordination with the ADRC team.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field with at least two years of related experience, HIPAA knowledge, and strong communication skills.

• Ability to work with elderly and disabled clients.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate team member for services.
• Attend meetings, conferences, and trainings as required.
• Input client intake into Peer Place information and referral program.
• Review reports, releases, and materials to stay informed on client issues.
• Complete required reporting for program funding sources (Medicaid, ADSS).
• Assist clients with enrolling or updating SHIP/Medicare benefits during open enrollment.
• Complete Individual Interaction: Basic Interaction Forms and SMP reports.
• Build community relations through professional referrals and community partners.
• Other duties as assigned.
