Job summary

Florence County is seeking an Adoptions Coordinator to promote positive outcomes for onsite adoptable animals through websites, social media, and events. You will organize adoption events and coordinate with supervisors to ensure animals are properly evaluated for placement.

Responsibilities include conducting health and behavioral evaluations, assisting the public with adoptions, and transporting animals for care and rescue collaborations. Some after-hours work is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional experience working with animals preferred.
• Requires S.C. Driver's license.
• Must obtain Humane Euthanasia certification within one year of hire.
• Must obtain a category 8 Pesticide Applicator within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Promotes adoptable animals via promotions on websites, social media, and at events.
• Organizes on-site and off-site adoption events.
• Coordinates with Operations Superintendent and Clinical Tech Supervisor for animal evaluation.
• Conducts facility walkthroughs to monitor animal health and behavior.
• Greets the public and assists with pet reclamation and adoptions.
