Job summary

Florence County is seeking an Adoptions Coordinator to promote positive outcomes for onsite adoptable animals through promotions on websites, social media, and adoption events. The role involves organizing events, coordinating with supervisors on animal evaluations, and assisting the public with adoptions.

You will handle intake, basic health checks, vaccinations, and maintain medical records, while supporting team programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional experience working with animals preferred.
• Requires SC Driver’s license.
• Must obtain Humane Euthanasia certification within one year of hire.
• Must obtain a Category 8 Pesticide Applicator license within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Promotes adoptable animals via social media, websites, and events.
• Organizes on-site and off-site adoption events.
• Coordinates with supervisors to ensure proper animal evaluation for placement.
• Greets the public and assists with reclamation and adoption.
• Prepares and maintains medical records and assists with basic veterinary tasks.
• Transports animals to facilities and clinics as needed.
