Job summary

Companion Animal Alliance is seeking a Foster Program Coordinator to manage the placement of shelter animals into foster care. The role involves recruiting foster homes, coordinating daily fostering activities, and maintaining accurate records.

You will work with multiple departments and foster parents to ensure the best outcomes for animals in care. You will communicate via phone, email, and social media, update online profiles, and assist with animal selection and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and maintain a dynamic network of foster homes.
• Oversee foster placements based on behavioral, medical, space, and emergency needs.
• Coordinate daily fostering activities: appointments, health checks, meds reminders, pick-ups/returns.
• Communicate with foster parents via phone, email, social media; assist with animal selection.
• Update photos and bios on Adopt-A-Pet and Petfinder; maintain kennel cards.
