Camelot Community Care in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Post Adoption Specialist to participate in staff development and maintain child welfare certification. The role works with case managers and community providers to support children and families, focusing on permanency, safety, and service satisfaction.

The position involves preparing for court activities, completing reviews and assessments, making referrals, arranging placements, and documenting progress in the data system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or other related human service field.
• One year of relevant social services experience working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Participates in staff development opportunities and maintains child welfare certification through on-going training.
• Maintains relationships with supervisory staff, emphasizing proper response to supervision and guidance during unusual circumstances.
• Maintains relationships with community resource providers, facilitating referrals and continuity of care for families on the caseload.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with children and families toward permanency and safety.
• Accurately completes case notes and enters them into the required data system.
• Prepares for and attends court activities, including hearings and testimony, with recommendations to the court.
• Develops and completes judicial reviews, assessments, and reports on time per policy and outcomes.
• Attends case staffings and conducts safety assessments.
• Makes referrals for services as needed and arranges emergency placements when required.
• Completes home studies for prospective placements and facilitates family visits.
