Job summary

Seamen’s Society for Children and Families seeks a qualified Adoption and KinGap Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure timely finalization. The role provides direct supervision to the Adoption/KinGap team and collaborates with ACS and attorneys to expedite cases.

Ideal candidates have an MSW or related degree, plus 2 years of child welfare experience and some supervisory background. Travel between Brooklyn and Staten Island sites may be required.

Qualifications

• MSW or related degree required or preferred.
• 2 years of child welfare experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision to Adoption and KinGap Specialists.
• Manages day-to-day operations of the Adoption/KinGap team.
• Tracks Adoption process from goal change to finalization.
• Tracks KinGap process from goal change to finalization.
• Ensures completion of Home Studies and preparation of legal documents.
