Job summary

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service/Intake Associate to provide excellent customer service while admitting animals into the Adoption Program. The role collaborates with the public, rescues and other shelters and interfaces with volunteers to ensure smooth intake operations.

Responsibilities include tracking lost/found animals, answering calls, processing return-to-owner paperwork with Vet Tech, and supporting office needs. Must lift 50+ lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Admit animals into the Adoption Program and coordinate with public, rescues, shelters and volunteers.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Answer incoming calls and return voicemails.
• Track lost/found animals using chips or ID and maintain records.
• Process return-to-owner paperwork with Vet Tech and ensure forms are complete.
• Assist with office tasks (supplies, repairs) and daily duties as needed.
• Work under the supervision of the Intake Manager and participate in cross-trained procedures.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
