Job summary

Michigan Humane in Westland, MI is seeking an Animal and Customer Care Associate to provide compassionate care and front-line support at the adoption center. You will help customers, guide adopters, process adoptions and intakes, and ensure the animals receive daily care and enrichment.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), the ability to lift 50 lbs, and weekend availability; training will cover handling protocols, safety, and animal care standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent).
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to visitors and adopters.
• Assist potential adopters and complete all forms and paperwork.
• Process cash handling activities for adoptions and intakes.
• Care for animals: feeding, cleaning, enrichment, and daily routines.
• Maintain clean kennels, cages, dishes, and public areas.
• Assist with medical tasks under supervision as needed.
