Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the Skilled Nursing Unit of an Assisted Living Community. This role combines clinical leadership with operational oversight and a hands-on approach to resident care.

You will oversee daily operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance, while mentoring RNs and support staff to deliver high‑quality care in a balanced schedule environment.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) management.
• 3+ years nursing management including supervision and hiring.
• Knowledge of RAI and long‑term care regulations.
• Hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations, staffing, regulatory compliance, and resident care in the Skilled Nursing Unit.
• Provide day-to-day clinical oversight and leadership to nursing staff, including RNs and Medication Technicians.
• Support staffing, scheduling, recruitment, coaching, performance management, and team development.
• Participate in resident care planning, assessments, and case management for Medicare and non‑Medicare residents.
• Oversee clinical documentation, resident assessments, and the RAI process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct daily clinical rounds and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Lead infection prevention and control initiatives, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor resident outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement, and support restorative nursing programs.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff while promoting a culture of compassionate, high‑quality care.
