Job summary

Cantex in Plano, Texas is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to support the Director in directing day-to-day nursing operations and ensure quality care in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

The role delegates administrative authority and accountability for nursing services, requires leadership of the nursing team, and ongoing collaboration with physicians, residents, and families to maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas.
• Minimum of two years charge nurse and supervisory experience in a long-term care setting.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating the day-to-day nursing care of patients/residents.
• Ensure treatments, medications, and nursing services align with care plans and orders.
• Lead weekly and monthly nursing committees and ensure policy adherence.
• Conduct frequent rounds to verify nursing staff performance and compliance.
• Notify physicians and families of significant changes in patient health.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff and participate in evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
