Job summary

Spring Meadows Health & Rehab in Clarksville, TN is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations of a skilled nursing facility. You will promote high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and efficient day-to-day nursing operations.

The ADON will mentor nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), participate in QAPI, help with infection prevention, and provide clinical leadership across shifts.

Qualifications

• RN license in TN is required.
• 2–3 years of nursing leadership in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and best practices.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing and directing nursing services.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, state survey requirements and regs.
• Support staffing operations: scheduling, onboarding, and performance management.
• Provide clinical oversight to RNs, LPNs, CNAs and other staff.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and infection prevention programs.
• Monitor documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Address resident and family concerns about nursing care.
• Support survey preparation and plan of correction implementation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Serve as acting Director of Nursing in the DON’s absence.
