Job summary

Manassas Health & Rehab Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing in leading clinical operations and maintaining a culture of excellence and teamwork.

You will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing to deliver high-quality resident care, support daily nursing operations, and drive QAPI initiatives in a skilled nursing environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Virginia RN license in good standing.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong leadership and clinical decision-making skills.
• Thorough knowledge of long‑term care regulations and nursing standards.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing department operations and supervision.
• Conduct daily clinical rounds to monitor resident care.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Coordinate orientation, staff education, and ongoing in-service training.
• Promote a positive, resident-centered work environment.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
• Participate in QAPI initiatives to improve outcomes.
• Oversee Infection Prevention and Control program and safety practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, labs, and therapy teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Assist with staffing plans and 24-hour nursing coverage.
