Job summary

Estates at Chateau is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the DON in directing care for residents and supervising licensed and non-licensed staff. This role oversees occupational health, infection control, and staff development in coordination with a Clinical Educator when available.

The ADON will maintain surveillance, records, data collection, and incident reporting while promoting staff training, preceptorships, and audits to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN licensed by Minnesota in good standing.
• Knowledge of safety regs, disaster prep, infection prevention.
• Ability to teach both professional and non‑professional staff.
• Basic computer skills; willing to train.
• Flexible hours; able to work independently.
• Capable of passing background check per Minnesota DHS.
• Able to perform essential functions with/without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in directing activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel to ensure quality resident care.
• Oversee occupational health and staff development with/without a Clinical Educator.
• Coordinate infection control and employee injury management processes.
• Maintain surveillance, records, data collection, and incident reporting.
• Facilitate staff development through orientation, training, and evaluations; preceptorships and audits.
• Promote quality care through staff knowledge and skill development.
