Job summary

Optalis Healthcare in Michigan seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee resident care under the Director of Nursing Services. The role requires nursing leadership, policy implementation, infection control, QA and admissions screening as assigned.

The ADON will supervise licensed nurses and nursing staff, ensure care plans meet residents' needs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and state surveyors to maintain compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Michigan.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years' long-term care experience preferred.
• Supervisory/charge nurse experience preferred.
• No license restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Implement nursing policies and procedures reflecting facility mission.
• Conduct education, infection control, QA and admissions screening functions as assigned.
• Utilize resources efficiently to ensure each resident achieves the highest practicable physical, mental and psycho-social well being.
• Supervise licensed nurses and nursing staff in the delivery of care per each resident’s plan of care.
