Job summary

The Hilltop at Blue River is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our clinical team and deliver exceptional resident care. This role targets strong RN or LPN leaders looking to grow in long-term care, within a supportive leadership culture.

As ADON, you will supervise daily operations, coach staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in care planning and quality initiatives, stepping in as acting DON when needed. Join a stable, resident-focused organization.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Prior leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and survey readiness.
• Excellent communication and team-building skills.
• Passion for resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations.
• Support, coach, and mentor nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs).
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Help manage staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflows.
• Participate in care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
• Step in as acting DON when needed.
