Job summary

Aviata at Brentwood in Lecanto, FL is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead and manage the nursing department with a focus on education, mentorship, and regulatory compliance. The role includes supporting clinical management, developing staff, and ensuring quality resident care.

Responsibilities include policy implementation, staff recruitment, collaboration with department heads, and maintaining accurate documentation while delivering direct resident care as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a setting serving the same resident population.
• Minimum of one (1) year of management experience required.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management and clinicians, and other team members.
• Assist in development and achievement of nursing department goals and objectives, including staff development and educational programming.
• Assist in implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures, and standards of practice with regulatory guidelines.
• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff according to staffing plan and state requirements.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote interdepartmental relations.
• Assist in developing and monitoring documentation systems.
• Provide direct resident care as staffing patterns demand.
• Create and implement innovative improvements to enhance systems and processes.
