Aviata Health Group in Largo, FL is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in daily operations and regulatory compliance. The ADON will lead nursing staff, monitor quality of care, and drive performance improvements across shifts.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, 2–3 years of supervisory experience in long-term care, and strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and healthcare compliance (federal, state, local).
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in managing nursing staff and clinical operations
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Monitor and improve quality of care and patient outcomes
• Support staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as needed
• Help maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
