Job summary

Aviata at Tallahassee Gardens in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead our nursing team and ensure high-quality resident care.

You will provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management and staff, while helping implement policies and monitor standards of practice. A strong RN license and management experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Must possess, as a minimum, an RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current CPR certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population.
• Minimum of one (1) year of management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management and clinicians, and other team members.
• Participate in development and achievement of nursing department goals and objectives, including staff development and educational programming.
• Assist in implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff to deliver efficient resident care.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote interdepartmental relations.
• Assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of documentation system.
• Provide direct resident care as staffing patterns demand.
