Job summary

Rosedale Health and Rehab is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our skilled nursing team in Richmond, VA. You will support the Director of Nursing, oversee nursing operations, mentor staff, and drive quality improvement initiatives to ensure resident-focused, compliant care.

The ideal candidate has an active RN license, at least 2 years of nursing leadership in long-term care, and strong regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

Active RN license in good standing.
Minimum 2 years nursing leadership in skilled nursing or long-term care.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations (CMS).

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Nursing with oversight of nursing operations.
Support staffing, scheduling, and coordination to ensure appropriate clinical coverage.
Provide hands-on clinical guidance and mentorship to nursing staff.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Conduct audits and ensure compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations.
Support care planning, assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
Assist with infection control and risk management programs.
Promote a positive, resident-centered care environment.
Step into the Director of Nursing role as needed in their absence.
