Job summary

AristaCare seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading our nursing department and ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care. The ADON will help maintain regulatory compliance and promote clinical excellence within our facility.

The role requires an active NJ RN license, 5+ years of nursing experience, and 3 years of supervisory experience in long-term care, with PCC certification.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Jersey
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible nursing experience
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in long-term care or sub-acute setting
• PCC certification
• Infection prevention experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Promote resident-centered care standards
• Support infection control oversight and regulatory readiness
• Plan and conduct staff training programs and in-services
• Maintain effective communication across nursing staff
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet resident needs
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives
• Oversee staff competency evaluations and corrective actions
