Job summary

Albany Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead the nursing team and uphold resident care standards. You will oversee direct care, support the DON, and help plan, organize, and evaluate nursing services in alignment with facility policies.

The role requires RN licensure, strong administrative and interpersonal skills, and the ability to guide staffing and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license and graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles and patient care standards.
• Administrative, managerial and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks per facility policies and HIPAA guidelines.
• Judgment in staffing, workflow and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Set and implement resident care standards for the nursing staff.
• Supervise the nursing department and support the DON in operations.
• Lead staff development, staffing assignments, and training.
• Assist in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating nursing services.
• Participate in surveys and regulatory inspections.
