Job summary
Kenansville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Kenansville, NC is a Long Term Care facility delivering quality care to residents. We are hiring an ADON Assistant Director of Nursing to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, development and operation of the Nursing Department to ensure quality care 24/7.
The role requires an Associates Degree in Science, Nursing or related field, NC RN license, CPR, 2 years RN experience; plus leadership duties and staff supervision described.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Science, Nursing or related field required.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
- Current North Carolina RN license required.
- CPR certification required.
- Minimum 2 years RN experience required.
Responsibilities
- Assists the DON with planning, directing, and supervising nursing staff.
- Ensures the Nursing Department complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Develops and updates department policy and procedures as needed.
- Assists with staffing to meet resident needs and regulatory requirements.
- Participates in annual surveys by Federal, State and Local agencies.
- Reviews deficiencies and assists with corrective actions.
- Provides guidance, education, and performance feedback to staff.
- Trains and educates staff on policies and procedures.
- Maintains infection control and safety practices.
- Communicates with residents, families, and staff to ensure quality care.
