Job summary

The Village at Gleannloch Farms is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to help manage day-to-day healthcare operations and ensure residents receive respectful, high-quality care. You will supervise licensed nurses and direct care staff, and collaborate with families and physicians.

Ideal candidates hold an active Texas RN or LPN license, with at least two years of geriatric nursing leadership experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with basic computer systems.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN with a current Texas license.
• Two years' geriatric nursing leadership experience.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of license nursing staff (LPN/RN) and care team.
• Assign and direct work, appraise performance, reward/discipline staff.
• Provide ongoing training and supervision for medication administration.
• Educate resident care staff with ongoing in-services and training.
• Maintain resident charts and reviews documentation.
• Assess resident health and initiate service plans; manage care delivery.
• Communicate with families about resident needs and physician status.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure proactive care.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with Nurse Practice Act.
