Locust Grove Retirement Village is seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This RN-focused role requires strong clinical expertise, compassion for residents, and proven management skills to guide nursing staff and ensure high-quality care.

As ADON, you will mentor clinical staff, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee staffing and documentation, and collaborate with department heads to enhance resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license.
• RN degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience in a setting serving a similar resident population.
• At least one (1) year of management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to nursing home operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management, clinicians, and other team members.
• Participate in development and achievement of nursing department goals and educational programming.
• Assist with implementation of policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff according to staffing plans and state mandates.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote interdepartmental relations.
• Help develop, implement, and monitor documentation systems.
• Provide direct resident care as needed and interact effectively with residents and families.
• Deliver innovative healthcare by implementing new ideas that improve outcomes.
