San Marcos Treatment Center, a 212-bed psychiatric residential facility between Austin and San Antonio, seeks a Registered Nurse for weekend shifts. You will perform physical assessments, implement treatment plans, and supervise staff while ensuring a safe, therapeutic milieu for youth.
Under the Director of Nursing, you will participate in care planning, provide medication administration, and educate patients and families as part of a dedicated behavioral health team.

San Marcos spreads across 65-acres with an abundance of trees and wildlife. We have 13 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development levels with two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, sports court, playing fields, ropes course, canteen, social area, and a healing trail. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.

Our Registered Nurse (RN) position is under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the RN provides physical assessments of patients; implements treatment plans, evaluates response to treatment, provides complete documentation, administers medications as prescribed and provides health care education for patients and families. The RN is the shift supervisor of the Mental Health Techs and LVN staff, and ensures that the environment is safe and therapeutic for all patients. Provide direct patient care and management of children, adolescent, and young adult patients as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. Assure safety, supervision, and crisis management for patient populations. Provide assessment and medical management of patients. Assist in the management of a therapeutic milieu.
