Job summary

Cherry Hill Free Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to deliver services in PHP and IOP settings for adolescents under licensed supervision.

You will facilitate groups on depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, and social skills, while maintaining a safe milieu, supervising transitions, and modeling healthy communication. A collaborative, confidential environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Prior behavioral health experience with adolescents.
• Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate psychoeducational and skills-based groups on topics like depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, and social skills, using engaging methods such as activities and role-plays.
• Support a therapeutic milieu by maintaining a safe, structured environment, supervising clients during transitions, and modeling healthy communication and boundaries.
• Build supportive relationships, encourage participation, and help clients practice coping strategies while respecting professional boundaries.
• Observe, document, and communicate client behaviors and responses to the treatment team, ensuring confidentiality and proper clinical documentation.
• Assist with crisis intervention, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting de-escalation as needed, without making clinical assessments outside scope.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams through effective communication, participating in meetings, and supporting a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
