Job summary

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is seeking an RN to provide professional nursing care on a designated unit for adolescents facing behavioral and emotional challenges. The role involves coordinating and delegating nursing tasks within a multidisciplinary team to support treatment goals.

The RN will monitor patients, ensure safety, and step into Charge Nurse responsibilities when required. Florida licensure, ADN/ASN, and CPR/BLS are essential, with psychiatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: ADN/ASN required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Credentials: Florida license to practice nursing required.
• Experience: clinical psychiatric setting preferred.
• Physical: ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle crises.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit.
• Coordinate, delegate, and document nursing care per plan.
• Promote and enhance professional nursing practice on the unit.
• Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
