Job summary

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center provides focused mental health care for adolescents and supports treatment plans on a dedicated unit. The RN coordinates nursing care, delegates tasks, and may assume Charge Nurse duties to ensure high-quality care and safety.

Requirements include an ADN/ASN (Bachelor’s preferred), an active Florida nursing license, and CPR/BLS. Prior psychiatric experience and Handle with Care training within a week of orientation are desirable.

Qualifications

• ADN/ASN required; Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
• Current Florida nursing license or eligible for renewal.
• Clinical experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification required; Handle with Care training within 7 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
• Authorized to initiate restraints or seclusion as needed.
