Qualifications

• Review medication orders for accuracy and product needs.
• Perform admixture calculations for ordered medications.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as ordered by the prescriber.
• Properly don and doff PPE to maintain aseptic technique.
• Maintain logs for trials, waste, temperatures, and controlled substances.
• Manage inventory, ordering and stocking of meds and supplies.
• Adhere to USP 797/800, OSHA, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, procurement to ensure patient care.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders to ensure accuracy, ascertain needed products, and evaluate their suitability.
• Perform mathematical calculations to determine drug measurements for admixture of ordered meds.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as ordered by the prescriber.
• Do and doff PPE to maintain aseptic preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous drugs.
• Maintain records including trials, waste manifests, temps, controlled substances, and logs.
• Order, stock, and dispense medical supplies and drugs.
• Collaborate with departments to track and order patient medications.
