Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute seeks an Admixture Tech II to perform complex technical tasks in preparing hazardous and nonhazardous agents under supervision. Responsibilities include sterile prep, inventory control, and liaisoning with Physicians, Nursing, and Procurement to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

The role requires pharmacy technician certification (PTCB preferred) and at least one year of relevant experience, with 75–100% travel for float assignments.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification required; preferably CPhT (PTCB).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for accuracy and needed products.
• Calculate drug measurements for admixture orders.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as prescribed.
• Don and doff PPE to ensure aseptic preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous drugs.
• Maintain accurate records and logs for trials, waste, and temperatures.
• Order, stock, and dispense medications and supplies.
• Ensure proper inventory management and charge communications.
