Job summary

UC Irvine Health is seeking an Admitting Worker PRN to support RN Case Managers and Social Workers with authorization follow-ups, documentation, and post-acute care coordination. The role emphasizes strong communication and accurate record-keeping within the hospital system.

Required are high school diploma, excellent English communication, and solid organizational and computer skills. Prior hospital experience and related certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on patient accounts when authorization for stay is required.
• Document in the electronic system during stay and discharge.
• Escalate disputes or denials to the Director of Case Management.
• Assist in obtaining authorization for post-acute care.
