Job summary

Eastern Healthcare Group is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to be the first contact for referrals, admissions, and prospective residents at Cypress Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing in Virginia. You will guide families through the admission journey and coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth transition.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with healthcare experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of healthcare experience.
• Previous admissions or business development experience in skilled nursing or healthcare settings is a plus.
• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from hospitals, discharge planners, families, and referral sources.
• Coordinate and manage the admissions process from referral through admission.
• Conduct facility tours and provide information about services and care offerings.
• Maintain accurate bed availability and occupancy information.
• Process admission paperwork and verify payor source requirements.
• Communicate admission needs with nursing, housekeeping, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth resident transitions.
• Lead daily admissions discussions regarding admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Support census development and occupancy goals.
• Maintain referral tracking systems and waiting lists.
• Build strong relationships with referral partners and internal stakeholders.
