The Connection Inc. in New Haven is seeking an Admissions Specialist for the Sierra DOC Mental Health program. You will welcome and orient clients, complete intake paperwork and assessments, and support clients through the intake process.

This role may involve facilitating psycho-educational groups, carrying a caseload, and coordinating with the Program Manager. A bilingual Spanish speaker is preferred; a Bachelor’s degree and CT driver’s license are required.

Position: Admissions SpecialistProgram: Sierra DOC Mental HealthLocation: New HavenSalary: $23.00-25.00/hourSchedule: Full-Time, 40 hours, First Shift, Monday - Friday (7:30 am - 3:30 pm)Program Summary:A short-term residential program which provides both supervisory and therapeutic services for men with psychiatric impairments who are re-entering the community following incarceration so they can improve their level of functioning and avoid future criminal activity.Position Summary:The Admissions Specialist is responsible for welcoming and orienting clients to the program, completing initial intake paperwork including required assessments, and supporting the client throughout the intake process. This position also facilitates psycho-educational groups/activities and may carry a case load. This position is non-exempt and works under the supervision of the Program Manager.
