Job summary

The Connection, New Haven, CT is seeking a Residential Aide for the Sierra Center Work Release program. You will provide structure and supervision to adults re-entering the community after incarceration using a strengths-based, client-centered approach.

This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly, second shift Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 pm–11:00 pm. A high school diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience is required; an associate degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years experience as Residential Aide or equivalent.
• Experience working with individuals in recovery or justice-involved individuals.
• Strong interpersonal and boundary-setting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide structure and supervision to residents re-entering the community.
• Support rehabilitation, education, and life skills during transition.
• Maintain professional boundaries and document interactions as needed.

These services are provided to assist with successfully re-entering the community while avoiding new offenses.Position Summary:This Residential Aide will utilize a strengths-based & client-centered approach, providing structure and supervision to justice involved Men/Women as they re-enter the community after a period of incarceration. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals in recovery and/or those who are justice involved or have a client/customer support background and be highly motivated to help others make positive change.
