Job summary

Centura College is seeking an Admissions Representative at our Norfolk campus to connect with prospective students, guide them through the enrollment process, and help them pursue rewarding career opportunities.

You'll manage high-volume outreach, conduct admissions interviews, document interactions in the CRM, and collaborate with campus teams to deliver a positive student experience. This full-time, on-site role requires rotating Fridays and Saturdays and offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires strong verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in sales, admissions, customer service, or related field with proven performance.
• Ability to manage a high volume of outreach activity while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Engage with prospective students through high-volume inbound/outbound calls, emails, and meetings.
• Conduct admissions interviews to understand goals and educational needs.
• Guide applicants through admissions and enrollment, including applications and documentation.
• Achieve performance goals related to outreach, appointments, conversion, and enrollment.
• Document student interactions, progress, and enrollment activity in CRM or student system.
• Collaborate with campus leadership and departments to ensure a positive prospective student experience.
• Represent Centura College at campus events, open houses, and community outreach.

Admissions Representative

Location: Centura College | 7020 N Military Hwy, Norfolk, VA 23518
Compensation: Up to $30/hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule:

• Friday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Rotating Saturdays: 9:00 AM-1:00 PM, with corresponding time off during the week

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with prospective students through high-volume inbound and outbound calls, emails, and in-person or virtual meetings.
• Conduct admissions interviews to understand students' career goals, interests, and educational needs.
• Guide prospective students through the admissions and enrollment process, including applications, required documentation, and next steps.
• Achieve established performance goals related to outreach activity, appointment setting, conversion rates, and student enrollment.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective students to answer questions, address concerns, and support enrollment decisions.
• Accurately document student interactions, application progress, and enrollment activity in the CRM or student management system.
• Collaborate with campus leadership and other departments to provide a positive prospective student experience.
• Represent Centura College professionally at campus events, open houses, and community outreach activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Previous experience in sales, admissions, customer service, or a related field with demonstrated success meeting performance goals.
• One or more years of admissions experience in a postsecondary educational environment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of outreach activity while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn CRM and student information systems.
• Ability to work the established schedule, including rotating Saturdays.
