Texas Health Resources is seeking an Admissions Specialist - Patient Access Services in Southlake, TX. This PRN position supports clinical operations during Monday–Friday hours, with responsibilities in financial and demographic intake for efficient medical records and billing flow.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1 year of customer service, and knowledge of medical terminology. Strong communication and typing skills required; CHAA preferred on hire.

Formación

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience required (1 year).
• CHAA preferred upon hire.
• Excellent written, oral, and telephone communication skills.
• Familiarity with general office equipment and software packages.
• Ability to type at least 35 WPM with accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately gathers complete financial and demographic information for records and billing processes.
• Obtains and updates verification of benefits and pre-certification for tests/procedures.
• Explains and collects consent documents, maintaining proper documentation.
• Identifies insurance carrier, benefits to maximize reimbursement and prevent denials.
• Assists patients in understanding financial obligations and collects co-pays, deposits, and balances.
• Adheres to applicable regulations and department policies; follows leadership productivity guidelines.

Educación

High School Diploma or equivalent

1 Year Customer Service experience

CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate

Strong written, oral, and telephone communication

General knowledge of medical terminology

Typing 35 WPM
