Job summary

UNC Pembroke is seeking a Temporary Admissions Representative to support undergraduate admissions recruitment and outreach efforts. The role involves presenting UNC Pembroke’s programs, answering inquiries, and guiding prospective students through the application process.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver's license, and strong written/public speaking skills. Travel and flexible hours are expected to engage with diverse communities and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; a valid driver’s license required; excellent written and public speaking skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in recruitment efforts.
• Assist in admissions application evaluation and prospective student outreach.
• Enhance UNCP brand awareness by participating in virtual and in-person recruitment activities.
• Respond to prospective student inquiries and engage with prospective student decision influencers.
• Meet with student influencers such as school counselors, college advisors, and transfer liaisons.
• Staff and support admissions and recruitment events, including Open Houses, information sessions, college fairs, and special recruitment programs, while engaging prospective students, and representing UNC Pembroke.
• Travel extensively throughout identified territories promoting the UNC Pembroke brand.
• First-level screening of admissions applications and coaching students through application submission
