Job summary

Cedar Hills Hospital is a behavioral health hospital and includes Branches Outpatient Services. We are seeking to hire an Admissions Coordinator to fill a full time role with Branches Outpatient Services.

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the process of receiving, scheduling and/or referring admission inquiry calls. This position goes on site to our inpatient hospital daily, working with patient care teams to ensure a smooth transition for step downs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Services or related field.
• Two (2) years’ experience in a Mental Health related field.
• Data collection and report writing skills required.
• Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• AHA BLS CPR required within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care de-escalation training required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive, schedule and refer admission inquiries and referrals.
• Coordinate on-site admissions with inpatient care teams daily.
• Arrange transportation and communicate admissions status to identified parties.
• Enter data into designated computer systems accurately.
• Assist with coordinating assessments and initiating intake paperwork.
• Collect insurance information for pre-admission processing.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff; update community providers on mutual patients.
