Job summary

CLARE|MATRIX in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Call Center / Admissions Representative to serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking substance use disorder treatment. You will perform phone screenings, coordinate intake, and assist in understanding insurance benefits, guiding potential participants through the admissions process.

Under supervision, you will maintain knowledge of program offerings and census availability, ensuring timely follow‑up to support successful admission

Qualifications

• Must be registered as an Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselor with a California-recognized certifying organization (CCAPP, CADTP, or CAADE).
• Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for individuals and referrals seeking treatment.
• Conduct over‑the‑phone screenings to assess eligibility for services.
• Coordinate intake process and explain admissions steps to participants.
• Assist participants in understanding insurance benefits (Medi‑Cal, Medicare).
• Maintain current knowledge of services and census availability, and follow up to support admission.
