Job summary

The Farley Center in Williamsburg, Virginia seeks an Admissions / Intake Coordinator for a 12:00–20:30 shift with rotating evenings and weekends. This on-site role focuses on pre-admission assessments, insurance verifications, and coordinating with referral sources to admit clients efficiently.

The position involves phone triage, completing registrations, maintaining CRM records, and collaborating with treatment teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ year healthcare admissions experience preferred.
• Experience in client assessment, referral, treatment planning and external reviews or comparable entities.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Outstanding interpersonal and interviewing and assessment skills; telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Conducts pre-admission assessments.
• Interviews client, family members and/or collateral sources to assure intake criteria are met.
• Generates, guides, and leads independent discussions with referral sources for client support, conflict resolution and business development.
• Responds to and reacts to the needs of referred clients.
• Assess family needs for mediation, sober escort and intervention and determines which professional resources are most appropriate.
• Decides which Interventionist and facility to recommend, the dates, and the travel.
• Works closely with other department as well as external parties to ensure timely admission.
• Documents daily all activities, contacts, appointments, and events in the CRM and maintains documentation.
• Utilizes resources to ensure insurance verifications of benefits for all clients on all private insurance admissions.
• Screens calls from referrals and sets up transportation for admission.
• Maintains a waiting list for admissions and stays in contact with potential candidates to facilitate admissions.
