Job summary

CharterCARE Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, RI is seeking a part-time Administrative Support Clerk for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm). Under supervision, you will ensure that financial and patient databases are accurate and complete.

You will counsel patients on financial responsibility, interpret lab service orders, perform admissions/registrations, and help track census, bed and unit assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent was required.
• Computer experience is required.
• Experience: 3–4 years in an equivalent position.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information to ensure financial and patient databases are accurate and complete.
• Counsel patients, families, or representatives regarding financial responsibility.
• Review physician orders for laboratory services and document orders.
• Perform admissions and registrations throughout the medical center.
• Track census, bed, and unit assignments.
• Prepare Administrative Associate B services during third shift for the Emergency Department.
