Job summary

Complete Care - New Jersey & PA seeks a dynamic Director of Admissions to grow census and guide families through important healthcare decisions, partnering with hospital partners, referral sources, residents and families. This role emphasizes relationship-building and service excellence.

As a leader on our admissions team, you will coordinate inquiry-to-admission processes, manage census reporting, and drive outreach with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health care administration or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Admissions in a long-term care setting.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment or as part of a group.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with Point Click Care software.

Responsibilities

• Record inquiries, admissions and discharges and assist with census reports.
• Coordinate the inquiry-to-admission process and required paperwork.
• Notify facility representatives of admission updates.
• Maintain monthly census records and verify accuracy with Business Office.
• Provide information on referrals, admissions and discharges weekly or as requested.
• Collaborate with Social Security, Nursing and Business Office on bed availability.
• Evaluate referrals for admission candidacy and visit referrals when needed.
• Maintain close contact with referral sources and hospitals.

Director Of Admissions Qualifications

Director Of Admissions Responsibilities

• Records information concerning inquiries, admissions and discharges and assists with daily census reports
• Coordinates the inquiry process, facilitating admission assessment and the admission process including all required paperwork
• Appropriately notifies facility representatives of admission updates
• Keep a monthly record of census, matching numbers with the Business Office to ensure accuracy at the end of each month
• Provide information on referral leads, admissions, and discharges on a weekly basis or as requested
• Communicates effectively with the Social Security Department, Nursing and Business Office regarding bed availability
• Evaluates referrals to determine admission candidacy, including visiting referrals at home or involved with community agency as appropriate
• Maintain close contact with all referral sources
• Notify hospitals of bed availability regularly
