Job summary

Complete Care is seeking a Director of Admissions to lead and grow our admissions team, guiding families through the care decision process with a focus on exceptional service. You will collaborate with hospital partners, referral sources, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure a smooth transition into our center.

The role emphasizes leadership, relationship-building, and a proactive approach to census growth, with a commitment to outstanding customer service and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health care administration or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Admissions in a long-term care setting.
• Possess a passion for marketing and building census.
• Knowledge of medical insurance, Medicare and Medicaid.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment or part of a group.
• Computer knowledge and using Point Click Care software.

Responsibilities

• Records information concerning inquiries, admissions and discharges and assists with daily census reports.
• Coordinates the inquiry process, facilitating admission assessment and the admission process including all required paperwork.
• Appropriately notifies facility representatives of admission updates.
• Keep a monthly record of census, matching numbers with the Business Office to ensure accuracy at the end of each month.
• Provide information on referral leads, admissions, and discharges on a weekly basis or as requested.
• Communicates effectively with the Social Security Department, Nursing and Business Office regarding bed availability.
• Evaluates referrals to determine admission candidacy, including visiting referrals at home or involved with community agency as appropriate.
• Maintain close contact with all referral sources.
• Notify hospitals of bed availability regularly.
