Job summary

Complete Care seeks a dynamic Director of Admissions to lead our admissions efforts, grow census, and guide families through healthcare decisions. You will collaborate with hospital partners, referral sources, residents and our interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth transitions and exceptional service.

As a senior admissions leader, you will manage inquiries, paperwork, and daily census, while driving strategy with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health care administration or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ admissions experience in a long-term care setting.
• Passion for marketing and building census.
• Knowledge of medical insurance, Medicare and Medicaid.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment or as part of a group.
• Computer knowledge and using Point Click Care software.

Responsibilities

• Records inquiries, admissions and discharges and assists with daily census reports.
• Manages inquiry process, admission assessment and required paperwork.
• Notifies facility representatives of admission updates.
• Maintains monthly census records and reconciles with the Business Office.
• Provides referral lead, admission and discharge information weekly or on request.
• Communicates with Social Security Department, Nursing and Business Office about bed availability.
• Evaluates referrals for admission candidacy and visits referrals as needed.
• Maintains close contact with referral sources and hospitals about bed availability.

Director of Admissions Qualifications

Director of Admissions Responsibilities

• Records information concerning inquiries, admissions and discharges and assists with daily census reports
• Coordinates the inquiry process, facilitating admission assessment and the admission process including all required paperwork
• Appropriately notifies facility representatives of admission updates
• Keep a monthly record of census, matching numbers with the Business Office to ensure accuracy at the end of each month
• Provide information on referral leads, admissions, and discharges on a weekly basis or as requested
• Communicates effectively with the Social Security Department, Nursing and Business Office regarding bed availability
• Evaluates referrals to determine admission candidacy, including visiting referrals at home or involved with community agency as appropriate
• Maintain close contact with all referral sources
• Notify hospitals of bed availability regularly
