Job summary

Chateau Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Admissions Director to coordinate all admissions and transfers, while marketing our services in surrounding referral communities. You will drive census growth through relationship-building with hospitals, providers, and families.

This full-time role requires knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, strong communication, and proficiency with databases. You’ll lead the admission process, conduct tours, and collaborate with the Business Office

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in nursing home or long-term care admissions and/or marketing.
• Knowledge of the admission process and payer sources (Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, Managed Care).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems and databases.
• Able to work well in a team with a positive, proactive approach.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete admission process for new and returning residents.
• Manage the referral process and build relationships with hospitals, providers, and community partners.
• Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families.
• Communicate admissions, discharges, and readmissions to the interdisciplinary team (IDT).
• Meet and greet new residents and family members; obtain required documentation and signatures.
• Collaborate with the Business Office on daily census reconciliation.
• Participate in daily meetings to stay informed on census and admissions needs.
• Assist in bed management and room moves as needed.

Admissions Director Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in nursing home or long-term care admissions and/or marketing
• In-depth knowledge of the admission process and payer sources, including Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, and Managed Care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in computer systems and databases
• Ability to work well in a team setting with a positive and enthusiastic approach to tasks
• Reliable and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills

As an Admissions Director, you will:
